‘Intelligent Multi-Agent-Based Next-Generation Education Platform’ R&D Project Selected for Final Funding

Introducing the AIDT prototype at the ISTE Live 2024 global edtech expo held in Denver, USA
Edutech company I Hate Flying Bugs (CEO Park Chan-yong) announced its final selection for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ technology startup support program, ‘Scale-up TIPS’. Through this selection, the company will formally commence development of core technologies for its ‘Next-generation Education Platform Based on Intelligent Multi-Agent Systems’ over the next three years.
Scale-up TIPS is a program where the government provides matching R&D funding to companies whose growth potential has been recognized by private investment firms (operating companies). I Hate Flying Bugs was selected for this program based on the recommendation of its operating company, L&S Venture Capital, which recognized its technological merit and scalability.
The core of this R&D is to overcome the limitations of existing ‘Reactive AI’ by implementing ‘Proactive Multi-Agent AI’ that proactively intervenes by understanding the learner’s situation in real-time. It is evaluated as next-generation educational infrastructure technology that automates repetitive teacher tasks and increases learning success rates.
The company declared its leap forward as a ‘global AI SaaS education company’ through this R&D initiative. Its strategy is to combine multi-agent technology with its proprietary full-cycle education platform, EPaaS (Education Platform as a Service), to provide a standardized AI education platform that educational institutions, publishers, and governments worldwide can immediately adopt.
Once commercialized, this technology is expected to automate core tasks for educational institutions—such as class operations, learning management, test creation, feedback, and tutoring—driving productivity innovation in educational settings.
